Spanish Now! Is a workbook for students  of the Spanish language. It can be used alone or in conjunction with an audiocassette  that is available separately.

This workbook contains almost 500 pages of material covering all aspects of basic Spanish. There are a number of different types of exercises including fill in the blank, crossword puzzles, matching and verb conjugation. The text is interspersed with a number of pictures and illustrations included to keep the student from becoming bored with the subject material.

Each lesson begins with a listing of any new words in the chapter along with their English translation. The course also makes use of some colloquial expressions along the way so that the student can develop a natural feel for the language.

The advantage of this course is that it encourages both reading comprehension and writing skills. Another advantage is the amount of material. Completion of every exercise can easily take months. There is a bilingual dictionary in the back of the workbook that contains many of the words used in the course. One drawback is that there is no answer key for the exercises in this edition.

This course is a good value for those wishing to learn to read and write the Spanish language and to practice their skills on a regular basis.
